Our mission is passion with helping parents discover their full potential while simultaneously identifying the same full potential in their "seeds".
R&R Brown’s Push Project is a nonprofit organization inspired by RALEEK BROWN, who has teamed up with his father ROSCOE BROWN, both Stockton, CA natives. Raleek, who was raised playing football for the Southside Vikings and coached by his father Roscoe Brown and uncle Ernie Bass, has shown courage and resiliency in the pursuit of his dreams.
Raleek attended Edison High School for his freshman and sophomore years. During this time, he gained a bond with his football brothers and coach, Booker Guyton, and had a helping hand with his team in winning 2 SJAA titles alongside his brother Trevon Breckenridge, who is no longer with us today. Keeping faith even in tragedy, Raleek insists he is Trevon, he is @bandaidleekfo3. Because of the extreme violence in his home city, and the difficulties caused by the COVID19 pandemic, Raleek and his father, Roscoe, moved to Los Angeles, CA to play his junior and senior years of football at Mater Dei High School. The both of them weathered the storm, and Raleek helped the Mater Dei Monarchs go 2 years undefeated, earning them 2 State Titles, and 2 National Titles. Raleek also received a scholarship to the University of Southern California, earning a starting spot on the All-American team as the #1 Running Back in the nation, becoming the first athlete from Stockton, California to make it to the oh-so historical game.
With all the achievements and all the glory, the young, humble teen, plays the game with the city of Stockton on his back. Forever instilled in him, he continues to have a heart for his inner-city peers. He wants better for his city now, not when he makes money, but now.
"For him, (Raleek) to come to me humbly, and ask ‘what can we do, Dad?’ I had to do something. It's hard watching my son carry the pain of losing his close friends to gun violence and friends who don’t have fathers because of mass incarceration. I, too, am a lifetime resident of Stockton, CA. I'm only a small percentage of males who survived the failed system,” Roscoe, father of Raleek, explaining how the challenges in his community pushed the both of them to start something meaningful.
“I see so many fatherless children with A LOT of potential. I admit, we have been a city with a lack of resources being provided to the youth. I believe the formula that my son and I have formed in teaming up, is the same formula that we all have already within ourselves.”, he says. “God has given us our superstores, who are our kids. I don't have a big degree, but I know my self-worth and it allowed me to see the worth in my seed. I see my full potential, so it allows me to see my son's full potential.”
He continues, “I began to plant him in the resources, in the soil, that was needed to see him blossom. My son and I dreamed together, envisioned together, believed together, planned, and set goals together. I believe the R&R Brown’s Push Project will serve the community from the heart. We will make a big impact in the relationships between parents and their children.”
The R&R Brown’s Push Project will help set family lineage in the right direction by moving them on the right side of history. The organization will help families identify obstacles and turn them into opportunities. They are building family images so that colleges will start offering more scholarships, and Stockton, our city, will be credited with producing more professionals in so many fields.
R&R Brown's Push Project will continue to innovate and expand its services to residents throughout San Joaquin County.
With compassion, the R&R Push Project Youth Academy helps families root themselves and discover their full potential by providing education and resources while uplifting and identifying the same potential in our community's children, who are this generation's fruitful and growing "seeds".
By providing an environment filled with tangible support and creative recreation, both parents and children are able to reach greatness as a team and a strong family unit.
The plentiful fruit-bearing trees only exist when their roots and foundation are fed and unbreakable. The R&R Push Project aims to make this world a better place, one family at a time.
